Jeremy Knepper

Jeremy Knepper is lake loving Renaissance man, with a wide variety of knowledge and expertise in all sorts of boats. He came by this knowledge quite honestly growing up on Lake Conway in Florida. As fate would have it, Jeremy grew up across the lake from Gunner Daft, and the pair spent an inordinate time together in the water and on the water behind tow boats and fishing boats. Jeremy took his knowledge of boats to the dealer side of the industry, where he set sales records at several Texas-based dealers selling everything that floated with a motor. Today, he draws upon his retail experience when training his dealers on the unique benefits that come with owning a Montara. As a husband and father, Jeremy understands the power of togetherness and knows that nothing brings generations together better than time on the water. And with Montara, he can pass down his love of the water to his daughter, just like his parents did for him.

OliVER Derome

If you’re a Derome, you go on skis. Oli had no chance at a normal life growing up in a family of Canadian waterski champ, Julien Derome. The whole family was pushed to ski, but Oli was drawn to wakeboarding and the rest is history. With his notoriety, he became sponsored by Slingshot, Rockstar and Malibu where he traveled the world promoting wakeboarding and winning tournaments. But it’s Oli’s nurturing approach that separates him from other champions and his greatest value to his dealers. His deep involvement in coaching and mentoring aspiring riders translates directly to his success in expanding the Canadian and USA markets for the Follow brand. Oli’s life experience has led him to see the value of Montara’s unique configuration for everyone in the family, not just the riders. Canadian summers are short, so the boat must work for everyone on board to get the most from their day on the water. For Oli’s young family and his extended family (of expert skiers), the Montara is perfect! Derek Grasman

Derek Grasman started out in the watersports industry as professional wakeboarder for Connelly, Mastercraft and Jetpilot. He learned that his insight as a rider provided people with gear and equipment solutions that advanced their riding skills and love of the sport. So when an opportunity to become a manufacturers rep for one of his sponsors opened up, Derek snagged it and has never looked back. For the past decade he has served some of the biggest brands in the action sports industry including Connelly, Billabong, Reef, Globe, Mastercraft, Fliteboard, Follow, and others. Over those years Derek has realized his true passion isn’t just riding the product, but helping people get their best experience on the water too. As an integral part of the Montara team, Derek is really excited to show everyone why he believes that a Montara is the perfect boat for a wide variety of water sports lovers.

Mike Dowdy

IA, IL, IN, MI, WI, MN, ND, SD

Mike Dowdy is a former wakeboard World Champion and is regarded as one of the industry’s most innovative riders of his generation. Mike’s successfully tenure as a pro athlete included winning the Masters, World Series, and Pro Wakeboard Tour Championships, as well as a bronze medal in the XGames. He has created some of the sport’s most notable video parts, including a groundbreaking video section for XGames “Real Wake.” After Mike’s reign as a top pro in the sport he transitioned to coaching, where he launched WakeU, a digital coaching app for water sports enthusiasts. Mike has also worked with the industry’s largest brands, including Red Bull, Nautqiue, and Brunswick in sales and marketing. These days Mike and his young family are based in Brighton, Michigan where he shares his unique insight and love of watersports with his clients and dealers to help coach them towards success. The blend of Mike’s competitive background with his love of spending time on the water with his family is what drew him to Montara.

Jimmy Trask

AZ, CA, NV, OR, WA, ID

Growing up on a small lake in New Hampshire, Jimmy Trask had to embrace cold water and early mornings to get the best water conditions for wakeboarding. He moved to Florida for warmer water and a longer riding season and happened to rent a room from Wakeboarding legend, Zane Schwenk. One of the major perks of his rent payments included access to a MasterCraft X-Star and coaching from one of the greatest wakeboarders in history. He quickly progressed and became sponsored by MasterCraft and CWB, just like his roommate. Fast forward 20 years and it’s clear that Jimmy learned more than a few tricks from his roomie… he learned how to build a successful rep business focused on providing the most insightful product training so that salespeople could pass it on to their customers. Now a family man and living in California Jimmy loves the Montara wakes and sees so much value of Montara’s deck layout that he believes waterfront homeowners should sell their old towboat and separate Pontoon then replace both of their old boats with one Montara. We couldn’t agree more!

Patrick Cerne

NM, CO, UT, MT

Patrick Cerne grew up in Kansas, spending Summers at his grandparents A-Frame cabin on a small lake north of Lawrence, where he caught the watersports bug and the feeling of adrenaline running through his body. These formative experiences led him to Colorado where he could explore his passions for snowboarding, fishing and towed watersports. If it involves standing sideways on a board, Patrick is at home. His expertise led him to a career in sales and marketing in the board sports world, where Patrick currently handles outside sales for Liquid Force, Mission Boat Gear, O’Neill Wetsuits, and Roswell Marine. Patrick’s years of experience with tow boats and the culture associated with the water sports industry makes him a valuable resource to his Montara dealers. Plus, he has an encyclopedic knowledge of all the good powder stashes in Colorado, which comes in handy every winter.
